Local franchise owners open their first coffee shop with signature beignets and catering services
Statesboro, GA (RestaurantNews.com) PJ’s Coffee is now serving its specialty roasts in the Boro, celebrating the opening of its newest drive-thru location in Georgia at 23 Independence Way on Friday, Dec. 19.
From 10 a.m. to noon, the iconic New Orleans-born brand invites the community to enjoy complimentary samples of PJ’s fresh pastries and select signature beverages, while supplies last.
This opening marks the first PJ’s Coffee franchise for owners Thomas Scarborough and Jeramie Martin, who also operate the city’s popular Huey Magoo’s restaurant. After discovering PJ’s during a visit to another location, the duo was drawn to its Southern hospitality and commitment to excellence – qualities that mirror their own approach at Huey Magoo’s.

Designed for convenience, the new drive-thru allows guests to enjoy PJ’s Coffee on the go without sacrificing quality. The menu features the brand’s beloved New Orleans tradition – freshly made beignets dusted with powdered sugar – alongside signature drinks such as PJ’s Original Cold Brew
Iced Coffee, the Pralines & Cream Latte, the classic Café au Lait and a rotating selection of seasonal beverages. This location also offers full catering options, making PJ’s the perfect choice for meetings, celebrations and events across the city.
Statesboro’s PJ’s Coffee will be open Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
